This is a fantastic GP Practice. Receptionists, nurses and doctors seem genuinely friendly and caring people.
The receptionists have improved greatly. There was a time in the past that I avoided the surgery because of the unsympathetic manner of some receptionists. I only go to the doctor when I am really sick so it is good to be treated as an individual. The Doctors when you reach them are good. I had one bad experience in the past but she has left. The nurses are also good although I would prefer not to be called 'my love' and I'd also prefer to be treated as a person who has some knowledge about my own health. One area that needs improvement is getting through on the phone, as the wait is often very long it would be helpful to know what number you are in the queue. It would also be helpful if the surgery was open on Saturday mornings as it used to be.
Crown Street has a good, diverse range of doctors and I have never had a problem seeing a doctor within the timescale that I have wanted. I have been registered with them nearly 30 years. They provide an amazing service really within the current NHS economic constraints.
All Receptionists try to be helpful, but some succeed better than others. Dr Michael Kenny is excellent and will be a loss to the Practice. Biggest weakness is in "systems". Prescriptions online, checking-in with the Reception touch-screen and electronic notice board have all had failings in recent months.
A very busy surgery, reception always try hard to be helpful. All the GP's are good and the range of services offered by Drs and the nurses are impressive. I have rarely had a problem speaking to someone when I really needed to.
Been with them about 28 years and would not change
